Day of the Coloring Dead

I've never much been one for Halloween. Intentional scariness? Sugar crashes? Ghost stories? No gracias. But Day of the Dead? Love.

A Mexican holiday, the Day of the Dead is celebrated October 31st to November 2nd. It focuses on the gathering of family and friends to remember loved ones who have died + to help support them in their ongoing spiritual journey. A time to gather, to eat favorite foods + to honor the memory of your favorite people. Sign me up.

This year, we decided to drive in from Chicago to spend the holiday with my Ohio family, namely my 3 adorable nieces + nephew. And in this family, nothing can focus a candy-hopped kiddo quicker than a fun coloring project.

So, if you're looking for a little last minute holiday craft (or perhaps you are a trick or treating Aunt with an otherwise uninspired costume) you can download the fun for FREE with our Printable Day of the Dead Coloring Mask available in our Downloadables online shop.

Waiting for the glue to dry = candy break. Naturally.

"Maya, turn the mask around!"

Feliz Dia de los Muertos! Salud!
