Our girl Morgan of Verdigris Photography + Design beautifully captured the stunning combination of contrasting hues + arrangements featured throughout the entire stylish shoot. And I, of course, had a blast with the creatively long neon pink leash I was given for the stationery + paper goods.
Planning for Paradise truly dreamed up the most vibrant vignette with a 1940s twist. It's not often a calligrapher has such an amazing opportunity to mirror the subtle greys + bold fuchsias also represented in the gorgeous bridal styling + makeup.
These gorgeous tiles are also an easy DIY. We chose these smooth, white tiles from a variety of options available at Home Depot. Some quick faux calligraphy using a black Molotow acrylic paint pen makes these escort tiles a lovely + permanent keepsake for your guests.
It was an amazingly gratifying experience to be a part of such a inspired shoot - it would be a dream to have such a fun + fearless couple walk through my studio doors!
Luckily, there has seemed to be a bit of a shift in a bolder direction here in Chicago. Brides who want to stand out are realizing they need to look outside the standardized, semi-customizable box.
